Art residency & training programme in Maputo, Mozambique

MOZ XR TRAINING at Maputo Fast Forward Academy, Mozambique, is an intensive programme of learning and experimentation of immersive technologies developed under the guidance of FRENCH TOUCH FACTORY.
20 selected participants (artists, designers and developers)
4 collaborative projects, each focused on a different area of cultural expression:
* Street Art
* Live Performance
* Architecture and Urban Heritage
* Traditional Music
Exploring new and innovative ways of representing local culture through the creative use of digital tools…

Each group is supported by four local mentors, respected professionals in the tech, creative, and cultural sectors: Evaro de Abreu, Sázia de Sousa, Fu da Siderurgia and João Roxo
Together with François Bouille and Maxime Touroute who were in charge of the immersive technology training: Augmented Reality, Video Projection Mapping, Virtual Reality and Volumetric Video…
We were joined by institutional partners and other individuals, including Mr. Yann Pradeau French Ambassador to Mozambique, Clémence Bessière, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy, José-Maria Queiros, Cultural Attaché and Director of the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre (CCFM), Jérôme Naissant, Secretary General of the CCFM, Naïl Muniglia from Expertise France; and Aderito Bucuane, coordinator of the Creatifi project at the World Bank.
MOZ XR TRAINING is promoted by the Maputo Fast Forward Academy in partnership with Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano and 16NetO CoWork and Cultural Space, and supported by the @francemozambique @FEF Création Africa-Mozambique and @Swiss Cooperation in Mozambique.
